Background
The Epic of Gilgamesh (OBV) is the Old Babylonian Version (OBV) of the Epic of Gilgamesh hero and prestige myth. It is the older, and slightly different, story concerning the mythical king of Uruk named Gilgamesh. In contrast to the Standard Babylonian Version (SBV) of the epic, the OBV is based on artifacts that are heavily damaged and therefore unreliable.
