Background
Hippocrates of Kos was an ancient Greek physician attributed with being the "father of Western medicine." This is, partially, due to his attribution of authoring a collection of works known as the Hippocratic Corpus. Nothwithstanding, it is unlikely that Hippocrates wrote them. Instead, it is more likely that the works were collectively produced by his disciples after his death between 400-300 BCE.[1]
