CBS 13902 (clay tablet) is a tablet containing lines 275-306 (obverse) and 307-339 (reverse) of the Sumerian afterlife myth titled "Inanna's Descent to the Netherworld," in Sumerian Cuneiform. The contents of this tablet were first published by Arno Poebel in 1914 as plate number 22 (commonly abbreviated as PBS 05 22). Subsequent scholars published revised sketches, translations, and transliterations of the artifact. Mainly, Samuel Noah Kramer, a well-known scholar, published photographs of it in 1942, along with a revised translation in 1951.
CBS 13902 is currently located at the Penn Museum in Philadelphia. The artifact is long and rectuangular shaped, with significant damage to the edges.
CBS 13902 was one of many artifacts discovered during excavations in Nippur (modern-day Iraq) in the 1890s by the Penn Museum and Ottoman Museum.

Inanna's Descent to the Netherworld Afterlife mythNuthsell
Inanna descends from the great above to the great below. She abandons several temples and heads for open country. She gives precise instructions to her companion—Ninsubur: Inanna says "if I don't return in three days, go to the temples and plead on my behalf." At the netherworld she enters and goes through seven gates before she is turned into a corpse. Ninsubur follows the instructions and tells Inanna's father Enkil what happened. He helps her by sending two a-sexual creatures to sneak in and bring her back to life. Once Inanna is alive she ascends while being escorted by demons from the netherworld. The demons allow her to trade her husband Dumuzi in her place.
