Ki's role in creation
In the Sumerian tradition, Ki had the prominent role of being one of the first deities born of Nammu (she also gave birth to An).[1] She was designated as the Earth deity while An was represented by the sky, or heavens. Together, An and Ki produced natural vegetation on the Earth.[2]
