Background
The Islamic Genesis creation myth is a collection of scattered verses throughout the holy book of the Islamic faith known as the Koran (Qu'ran). References to creation are not coherently included in a single chapter. Instead, bits are located in several of the 114 different chapters, called surahs. The oldest versions of the Koran were written in classical Arabic. Islam does not appear to have a formal section of their holy text titled Genesis.
