The Pyramid Texts: In Translation and Commentary (Vol. I) is a 1952 book published by Samuel A. B. Mercer. It is the first book of a four volume set that includes translations of the Egyptian Pyramid Texts. The translations are organized into Utterances and line numbers. Mercer provides commentary. This work includes various creation and prestige myths, and is an important part of scholarship on ancient Egypt.
